Help Us Find Pepe!

He was lost on Torsey Pond at the Readfield end. He is a rescue and very timid around people. The best way to help him is to call (207)293-2866 or (207)446-5200 even if you just catch a glimpse of him.

Ready for Adoption

AMY is a nine year old spayed apricot female. She is looking for a quiet home, without toddlers. She is fine with cats and other dogs.
She walks well off leash and on leash. She is somewhat shy and quiet, although that will probably change once she feels comfortable and safe. She is up to date on her shots and very healthy, with slight arthritis.
For all those wondering, it is not uncommon for a standard poodle to live to be 16 years old, so Amy has a lot of years and much love still to give.
Visit our website Maine Poodle Rescue for more information or to find out how to adopt Amy.

A little guy looking for a home

From our friends over at Poodle Rescue of Connecticut:

Tawney's story is a bit sad. Having lived a privileged life in a lovely CT town for his 8 years, his parents have decided to travel and see the world leaving Tawney behind. This little guy is shook up a bit to say the least but is making the best of the situation.

He is surrounded by four footed friends here in rescue. Tawney hopes that someone will overlook his being overweight at 10 pounds and having a slight cataract in one eye and will let him live out his many more years in a new home.
Tawney loves to walk and is perfectly house trained. He is current and up to date on all including bright and shiny teeth!

For more information, check out the listing for this fabulous boy at Petfinder.com

Oh, look at those faces...........................................meet Sophie and Bridget. Sophie and Bridget are sisters. Sophie is blonde and Bridget is Apricot. They are 5 years old and wonderful girls.

They are house trained and totally trustworthy in the house. They love each other and they must be adopted together.

These girls walk nicely on a leash, know basic obedience commands, love children and other dogs.

They have not been exposed to cats. Spayed and UTD on vaccinations.

Maine Poodle Rescue - Poodle Party

Maine Poodle Rescue Poodle Party was held on Saturday, September 12th in Belgrade. The lovely Steve and Tanna hosted the party at their gorgeous house - thank you so very much!
This account is strictly a visual one - although there really is no way to express the excitement and joy of seeing so many poodles in one place at one time.

All who entered were greeted by the lovely and kind M.Ann Akin, (aka Alexis) who herself was "with dog".

After a quick greet at the house it was off to the beach where all (when I say all I speak of the poodles, of course) had a great time

The poodles, one and all, were incredulous when they realized they were not being invited to the meeting - poor Steve was the "bad guy" at the door........
A reprieve of sorts........in the house but in their own space.

Just couldn't resist posting this one - what a face!
A few of Maine Poodle Rescue placements.........Ellie

Onyx - the black boy sporting the orange bandana - he is currently available for adoption
Ranger
Sophie (whose story will soon be featured on the website)
And Zeus.

A really great time was had by all!
